Warm Thoughts of November
Hello Everyone!
I don't know about you but I can't get over the fact that it's November already. Where has this year gone? With things being so hectic during the year, it will be nice to settle down and enjoy a big holiday dinner with the family.
The weather has finally decided to feel like Fall. We had a couple of weeks where it still felt like Summer. We have had to take our coats out of the closet. The temperature has dipped down to the sixties during the day and the fifties at night. The leaves have changed and are falling like crazy in our front yard, especially since we have four very tall oak trees lining the property. It drives my husband to insanity because we not only get our own leaves, but they seem to gravitate to our yard from the neighbors!
Time to take down the Halloween decorations and put up Thanksgiving. So looking forward to pumpkin pie and the ever traditional turkey with stuffing and gravy. My mouth is already watering! If I think about it hard enough, I can actually smell the scents of holiday cooking.
Candles always add a warm glow to the gathering of friends and family at the holiday feast. It puts everyone in a warm mood, just the colors of the season. Bold reds, gold and orange really light the fire in your spirits.
There is no stress in having to shop for gifts and it's just a great way to spend time together and reminisce about the year that has already gone by. My hope is that all of you get to share in this special time of year and make the most of it with your loved ones.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!
Till next time...Lisa
