Out of the Closet
I recently went through all closets in my home and discovered some things that I hadn't seen or used in years. For example, I'll start with how I went through my son's closet, which, through no fault of his, was a disaster. While he was growing up, I had used his closet not only for his clothes and games, but also items that belong in the kitchen, like small appliances and large pans (I'll get to those in another blog). I also used it for all of my home cleaning paraphernalia. I have since taken all of that out. Since he is participating in sports and his interests have grown rapidly, he needs room to store his hobbies. His clothes are also getting bigger. Going through his clothes was no small feat as he doesn't like trying clothes on, however, we managed to get through it. (I had to promise him video game time afterwards.)
